This story is set between Nevermore and Enshadowed, both by Kelly Creagh. "Her eyes fell closed as she awaited to be cushioned by the blackness that surrounded her, but the figure caught her before she fell into obscurity. 'Isobel,' it spoke. She jerked her eyes open. Her skin had prickled from the soft emission of her name from it's lips. It could only be - 'Varen,' she breathed."

**Please note that this is the old and very cringey original version and I have now posted a rewrite titled The Silent Photographer. You can read this version but it's really bad.** Isolde Moore is a selective mute. She refuses to speak to anyone and it makes it easy for her to be bullied. She finds an escape with photography and takes the most breathtaking and thought provoking photos you've ever seen. One day she meets a boy named Auric Reed who took an interest in her photos. He doesn't seem to mind that she doesn't speak and writes her answers to his questions on a piece of paper. They eventually form a friendship, but as secrets come out and the past comes to haunt them, will they be driven apart or become closer?
