Baek Sa Eon, son of a rich family of politicians and presidential spokesman, and Hong Hee Joo, a court and TV sign language interpreter who herself lost her voice through trauma, have been married for three years in what is essentially an arranged marriage. Her Older sister, who was supposed to marry him, selfishly flees abroad, she takes her place waiting for her to return. The two spend no time together and seem to hate each other's company.
But the story unfolds when Saeon, who has been living without speaking to his wife for three years, receives a threatening phone call from a kidnapper, who claims wanting to hurt his wife.
