2 days later on 18th October 2023, Steve Rogers went on his final mission to return the stones back to their designated spots in the timeline. However, when he returned the soul stone, the stonekeeper allowed him to grant one last wish. Bringing Natasha back.

For the past year, Natasha has been in hiding, with only one person, her wife Maria, knowing of her return. After the struggle with Natasha on Vormir and his own guilt consuming him, Clint Barton decided to join the other side. He was a killing machine, 10 times more deadlier than his Ronan days, nobody could get in the way of his mission, his loyalty to the avengers long gone, buried deep with his best friend. His soul. He was so far gone that he even tried to attack the remaining avengers, his motive being the fact that "they didn't grieve Nat." This wasn't true, of course, Clint himself even knew this but he was too deep in his sorrow to think clearly. He just needed an excuse. Natasha (being filled in on the situation by Maria) was left with no choice. She had to tell him she was back. That she was still alive.
