Schatzi and Dakoru are just two high schoolers trying to escape the pressure of their final year, with college applications hanging over their heads. By day, they're just like any other teenagers, juggling schoolwork and the weight of their future. But by night, they sneak into the city's underground chess clubs, honing their skills in the shadows, far from the watchful eyes of their parents.

When the weekends roll around, and the clubs close their doors, Schatzi and Dakoru retreat to the forest behind their neighborhood, where time slows down. There, with an old chess collection passed down from the 1920s, they dive into the world of strategy, reading ancient books and practicing their moves on the ground. But it's not just chess they're learning-through cool fighting techniques, their bond grows stronger, and the intensity of their rivalry pushes them to become not only better players but better versions of themselves.

But the stakes are higher than they realize. Parents aren't the only threat they see anymore. The person Schatzi looks up to isn't a good person at all.

How would the two boys face challenges? Would Schatzi be able to hide his feelings for Dakoru despite being with him all the time? Will Dakoru be able to be skilled enough in martial arts to protect Schatzi? Will they return home?
