It was never on purpose though, the happiness used to pour out of him like a waterfall after a heavy flood. His infatuation with Sophia was a constant thought replayed in his mind, like an itch you can't scratch in your brain. Though she reminded him too much of his mother who died when he was younger, the hurt and anger he felt toward her death reflected onto Sophia.

It left Rafe and her in a vicious game of bickering and pent up frustration, but it had to be let out somehow. Right?
