The Dead Boy Detectives have been running from an Endless their entire afterlives. They run right into the spawn of one right after being trapped in Port Townsend. Thankfully, she's got nothing to do with Death- but she's not going to make their jobs any easier.

[This stories on hold/ in a weird limbo state for now] FYI- This is a character x reader story!! Y/N L/N portrays themself as just a normal person, living a normal life, in a normal town. But, unbeknownst to her new friends, the 'dead boy detectives' - Edwin and Charles - and their psychic Crystal Palace, Y/N isn't as normal as she claims to be. Y/N is one of the Endless children. She is Desolation the Endless. The eighth child, the one who ran away, who's been hiding all her life. (Y/N is not strictly a female character, I just use she her pronouns to make my life a little easier when writing! But the gender has nothing to do with the overall character!) (!!Important note!! If you've been reading this story as it comes out, you might know Y/N was originally Decay the Endless, but I'm changing it to Desolation the Endless- it makes more sense because she seen as pointless and useless by her siblings, and is afraid of being alone) I'm going to lean into a more Edwin x Reader storyline, possibly with some Cat King stuff sprinkled in.
