Megatron wants to change, to redeem himself and defect from the Decepticons to join the Autoboots, but the question is can he be trusted? He gets in contact with the Autobot's leader, his former friend turned enemy/rival Optimus Prime and tells him that he wants to join the Autobots, to which Optimus is conflicted as he doesn't trust Megatron.
