Anastasia Elliot has been doodling Samuel Thompson's name in the back of her notebook for years, like since they were kids. She's liked his since before boys didn't have cooties anymore and before he got all buff and beautiful. She liked him for his mind, but it seemed to her that everything and everyone was set against them....Set against their love. Just a typical stereotype

Samuel Thompson used to peek out of the corner of his eye and stare , at the quiet girl in the corner who always had her nose grave-deep in a book. Way back when he was scrawny and nerdy. That was a long time ago though, Add puberty between freshman year and sophomore year with summer vacations working with his uncle and you've got a muscular, tall, athletic hunk of a man. But deep down inside he still looks at himself as the nerd who got bullied in middle school, Who seemed to have a knack for tripping over nothing, and always knowing the answer and getting teased for it. So he buried the smarts so no one could see them and became the stereotype.Just a typical stereotype.
