This book is still dedicated to you, Kara. You might not be Supergirl, but I still think you're pretty super, girl. And a big thank you for coming up with the title name.

At the young age of three hundred years old, Thessalia Brightsun is the youngest High Lady of the Summer Court to ever sit on the throne in the Golden City of Marivin. She rides the Brightsun family dragon Survaynth to protect her realm, in shows of power, and to fight off the Wyvern's Blight. This disease only affected dragons, wyverns, drakes, and the occasional hydra.

This infection can only be contracted via a dark magick spell being cast on the animal and is otherwise non-transferable. The thing that makes the Wyvern's Blight so dangerous is that it possesses draconic types and drives them mad. All they want to do is destroy, and all they hunger for is the taste of warm lifeblood being spilled from a fresh kill.

With no known cure, it's up to Thessalia and her fairy Lead Scientist to sedate as many dragons as possible and try to find one. She faces the trials of running a country, fielding marital arrangements made by her cabinet of Ambassadors and High Priestesses, and finding a cure for the Blight and the individual who is behind said Blight.

This book was inspired by Dungeon Meshi, Fourth Wing, and ACOTAR. Do with that what you will.

On the island kingdom of Wynther, where emerald forests meet snow-capped mountains and sparkling seas, a powerful legacy once thrived-one born of dragons and the ancient bloodline that could control them. For centuries, the kingdom flourished under the rule of King Eryndor Wynmire, a wise and noble leader, and his queen, Ellara. Their reign was marked by peace, prosperity, and an unbreakable bond with the dragons who once roamed freely in the skies above. But that peace was shattered when Draeven Malvoryx, a dark and ambitious warlord, sought to seize the ancient power hidden within the bloodline of the Wynmire family. Driven by his lust for control over the dragons, Draeven launched a brutal attack, killing the king, conquering the land, and imprisoning Queen Ellara. The people of Wynther were left broken, their homes razed, their hearts crushed beneath the weight of defeat. The kingdom's greatest hope, Ardyn Wynmire, the king's only son, was presumed dead in the chaos of the war-his body lost to the flames of battle. But fate had other plans. Saved by a skilled archer, Kaela Sylvanhart, Ardyn lives, though broken and haunted by the loss of his family and the fall of his kingdom. Yet within him lies a secret-a power that, if awakened, could change the tide of war: the ability to call upon the dragons, a power passed down through his bloodline for generations. However, that power is dormant, and Ardyn struggles to awaken it. A journey of survival, redemption, and discovery lies ahead. For Ardyn, the battle for Wynther is not only a fight for his people, but a fight to reclaim the legacy of his ancestors-and to face the darkness that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear. The dragons are returning. And their fate, like the fate of the kingdom itself, lies in the hands of the one who can awaken their power.
