The beast's princess

Princess Isabel of Montagut feels trapped in a complex web of politics, traditions and duties that have bound her since birth to the palace, a place as beautiful as it is suffocating. Her only escape is riding her loyal horse, and the arts.

Until the annual tournament comes around. Knights, Scholars, and Riders from the allied kingdoms come to prove their worth, and their rulers are welcomed at the palace to feast and enjoy the show. But this year is different, because this year, The Kingdom of Forca, ruled by the fearsome clan of the Orcs of the East, is attending, for they have signed a peace treaty that makes them an ally. And with them comes Uriol of Barce.

Uriol has seen too much blood and brutality in his lifetime. From a cruel mercenary to an orc warrior, to the commander of the armies of the east and confidant of the Orc king. There is almost no skin without scars, and he believes himself to be so horrendous that he always wears a mask.

When he meets Isabel, something changes, and he is drawn to her like a bee to honey.
