A young girl hiding the fact that she's a witch, finds herself going through life-changing adventures. Trying to ignore the townspeople's hatred for her odd tomfoolery, especially when her father is part of the mob, she plays hooky throughout the year; instead finding the woods more and more interesting with every quest, particularly when her dead mom might be haunting her.
