It was a cold stormy night, people were scared and running rampant all throughout the school building. Within minutes the SWAT team arrived storming into the building alerting the students to leave quietly. I was in the girls bathroom listening to my music, with my earbuds in. I heard the the snow crunching under foot as I ran as fast as my legs would take me through the forest. The air whipped through my hair as I ran, creating a ribbon like flow behind me. I dipped and dodged around trees, careful not to trip or run into anything. Just a little further, I thought to myself. I knew I would be safe as soon as I saw the little cottage at the end of the thick forest. I was so close to my freedom, so close to opening the door. Bam! My body instantly became cold. I squealed as the snow fell into my collar and down my back. I wiggled trying to get it to pass through my coat and drop out the bottom. I turned around with a glare on my face. My father stood facing me with a smug grin.
