Junie and Koen had been inseparable since the day they were born, which happened to be the same one. The summer they were ten was the year they fell in love with the Calico Lake house Koen's mom had inherited. As the summers came and went, Junie and Koen grew closer together. Until last summer when everything changed. They had never been the same after last summer, but time went on and feelings fade, for the most part. In the blink of an eye it was time for the annual summer trip to Calico again. Only this time things wouldn't be the same.
With Junie's rich boyfriend Nate and Koen's ex Rya in town, the tensions of last summers choices lingering in the air, and family issues on top of it all: Can they ever get back to the way things used to be? Just them and the lake?
