Alexandria Silver- Hellcat to many- is tired of being on the run. But the elusive cult appropriately called the Church (it's founder) hunts down members of the magick society. Hellcat is a very special magick. She is one of the last few surviving cat shifters, a black leopard nonetheless, and princess of her destroyed clan. 
So when she slips from the Church's grip for the umpteenth time, she tries to settle down in a tiny town in northern America. Maybe that wasn't the best idea, considering the half breed Logan wants her gone, the school Queen Bee hates her very core, and the Church is hot on her trail. All Hellcat has to say is:

She finds some answers but they lead to more questions. Alex's were-hybrid heritage has finally caught up to her. There is no guarantee that she will survive what she considers Fates joke. The transformation turned out to be a long painful process. Her were-heritage demands that she claims Beth as her own. She is almost powerless to stop it or to make her own choice. Beth however has no choice but to complete the mating and be turned. It is that or die. When she nearly dies in the grip of the transformation Alex curses Fate and demands things be put right. The Fates intervene but they ask a price be paid.
