Masked

Kaz Brekker attends a masquerade ball. He hates the damned thing, but he's there for a job. Distract the merchants, and then get the hell out. The job is simple, practically easy but everything changes when he sees a Suli girl walk down the ivory steps and into his life.

Inej Ghafa is the only known person to escape the Menagerie. She's survived so far, but how can she keep living if she's on a constant run and can't leave the city? She requires the help of the infamous Dirtyhands- and if that means visiting some stupid ball and begging him, then she shall.

Tensions rise, and masks fall. Will either achieve what they set out to do-? Or will they both end up in the Reaper's Barge, together, gloveless and hand-in-hand?
