In a small town, each day on the hour 12, both morning and night, the clock bell chimes.
Everyone is used to this, after all it has been around since the 19th century.
However, what everyone is not used to is what this ringing represents. What happens during the seconds the large golden metal bell hits against the cold metal ball? And what happens when the bell is not looked after, discarded and left to rust with its one carer ringing it? And what happens when the carer dies?
This is the story of Ava Lively, a young girl who has grown up with the lound chimes at midnight and midday, her father being the one to look after it.
