"How- you...- our- my baby boy! Lost was my baby boy, Nova. It was your fault he- h-h-..." He collapsed into tears, rapidly shifting and disappearing into the inky darkness of the forest. Nova gave an anguished cry of frustration, "Hawthorne!" She screamed, spiraling into a state of utter worthlessness. I padded over gradually and rested my head on her shoulder, "Shh, shh." "That was wicked, Shadow. You should do that all the time, the way you.." James drones on about how awesome the battle was, though I stopped listening when he tried to act out the scene, and I just nodded as if I understood everything he was saying. "Where do you need to go? You're pretty cut up." Jenny murmured, stroking my fur as I padded slowly down to the Black Lake. "I need to hunt."
