Rich Girls Can Lie | Watty's 2018 entry
7 parts Complete It wasn't easy being a rich girl. Melanie Philips constantly had to be on her best behaviour and never say one word out of place, after all, it could ruin her family's reputation and that's all the family really cared about themselves. They had little to no regard for other people, they only cared about one thing. Money, and if someone threatened the one thing they cared about... Well, they weren't worth it anyway...
On the night of a charity ball, her parents were hosting ( because appearances are important ) Melanie was taken advantage of upstairs while her parents continued on blissfully unaware that their daughter was screaming and crying and most of all she was in pain.
Six weeks later Melanie's life was flipped upside down, even more, when she found out she was pregnant. Seventeen years old, barely an adult and now she had to care for a baby, how did that seem fair? The blonde was quickly learning that nothing in life was hardly ever fair. People just got thrown things and were expected to deal with them.
That was made especially clear when Melanie was thrown out on the streets by her parents who couldn't deal with the scandal of their daughter being a rape victim and on top of that pregnant. No Porcha and Ellis Philips were going to bury this secret deep down where no one would be able to touch it
With nowhere else to turn, Melanie finds herself running into Elliot Walker at a homeless shelter and boy did Elliot have a story to tell beneath those dark eyes and mysterious past. Can the struggling teens help each other break out from the darkness or will it swallow them whole?
