Becoming a rider at Basgiath College was Thalia Draegor's life purpose; she descended from a long line of Navarrian noblety, her very ancestors being amongst those who forged Navarre after the Great War. Liam Mairi's family were a part of the Tyrrish Rebellion, and Thalia blamed the Rebels for the loss of her loved ones. Liam and the rest of the Rebels represented everything Thalia hated, a hatred that ran through her blood.
