Summary of The Last Horizon:
In a world ravaged by pandemics, societal collapse, and an unforgiving landscape, Rebecca and Ian struggle to survive the remnants of a broken America. The country, once a powerhouse, now lies in ruins, abandoned by the rest of the world as the last planes leave its shores. With no one left to trust and the threat of the "Dead"-monstrous, zombie-like creatures-lurking around every corner, Rebecca and Ian forge a fragile alliance, driven by the faint hope of finding sanctuary.
Their journey takes them across desolate highways, through abandoned cities, and into the heart of Wyoming, where they discover an old hotel that still holds the promise of warmth, safety, and even running water-luxuries they thought were lost forever. Along the way, their bond deepens into something more, as they find comfort and strength in one another amidst the chaos.
But the road to survival is never easy. As they confront the lingering dangers of the new world-both human and monstrous-they must navigate not only the external threats that constantly chase them but also the darkness within themselves, as they come to terms with loss, love, and the fragility of the world they now inhabit. The Last Horizon is a story of resilience, hope, and the will to endure, set against the backdrop of a world where every day could be the last.
