Miyako Kuchiki was the captain of the 13th Division before her sister-in-law Rukia takes it but now she is 3rd Seat of 9th Division and Miyako was sent to the world of living at the shinobi era in the warring states period where she manage to save a young shinobi from its death but brought him to Soul Society. Miyako came back after sending the souls to the soul society and continue on her day back in Gotei 13. Miyako is the sister of Byakuya but has her mother's stubborness.

Then Izuna starts to fall in love with Miyako as he was selected to be in Gotei 13 but chosen to be in the 10th division as 3rd seat. They kept their relationship a secret the only one who knows this is Miyako's brother.
