Iron Flame (Summer's Version)
In her first year at Basgiath War College, Ivy Sorrengail went from a cadet raised to believe in justice, honor, and sacrifice for her country, to a rider prepared to commit treason to do what is right. Now that she knows the truth her country tried to bury she has to tread a careful line between a pawn to Navarre's crown and a queen to a country that would rather see her executed for her mothers crimes, than lead it. However, iron is forged from the hottest flames, and she would rather burn than let everyone she loves succumb to the true darkness that lurks in the shadows. *** This is my twist on Iron Flame by Rebecca Yaros. I do not own the story.
The Riorson Legacy
The Riders Quadrant at Basgiath War College is the most boasted quadrant of them all. Also the most deadly. Kathrine Riorson has known for five years that this is where she'd end up, thanks to a desperate bargain made by her older brother the day their father was executed. Thrust into this new world where brutality and strength reign supreme right along side the giant fire-breathing dragons, Kitt will have to navigate through Conscription Day and Threshing. Through old memories and still-healing wounds. Through new friendships and new love. All the while an evil lurks just beneath the surface, threatening to destroy everything she has come to cherish. Kitt will be faced with demons both in the flesh and within her own mind. But Kitt is a Riorson. And she will not break easily. _____ "Anyone else feel like changing their mind?" Xaden shouts, casting his gaze out over the remaining cadets. "No? Excellent. Roughly half of you will be dead by this time next summer. A third of you again the year after that. And the same your last year." He briefly catches my gaze before moving on. "No one cares who your mommy or daddy is here." Unless your mommy or daddy sided with my father, then everyone cares. "Even King Tauri's second son died during his Threshing. So tell me again: Do you feel invincible now that you've made it into the Riders Quadrant? Untouchable? Elite?" This time no one cheers. "Because you're not untouchable or special to them." Xaden points a finger at the navy-blue dragon behind him and leans forward slightly, and says, deadly calm, "To them, you're just the prey." I swallow the lump in my throat. He's trying to scare us, they all are, so the dragons know who to pick off. But I will not let any of them win. I may not have had a choice in coming to the Riders Quadrant, but now that I'm here, the only way I'm leaving is on the back of a dragon.Complete
Marked | Xaden Riorson
Cassindra Nytheris is no stranger to death. Daughter of famed rebel Generals burned alive by dragon flame, she carried both their legacy and the weight of their loss. Basgaith War College is not for the feint of heart, and with rebellion relics inked across her skin, Cassindra is bound for the Riders Quadrant, where failure means death. With only her fellow rebellion children and a handful of unlikely allies to trust, Cassindra must endure brutal training, cataclysmic secrets, and the cold, calculating gaze of Xaden Riorson, who might already care more than he lets on. A dragon without its rider is a tragedy, a rider without their dragon is dead. [Xaden Riorson x OC]

While Violet stumbles unwillingly into the Riders Quadrant, Rose charges forward, determined to carve out her own legend within Basgiath War College. Weightless on the Wind || Fourth Wing || (♡ Garrick Tavis)
She crossed the Parapet with her eyes closed. No one knew her name. Not really. Not the riders, not the commandant. Not even the boy she once knew, who now leads the very quadrant she's been thrown into. Aeliana Sorynne is a survivor. Marked by magic, scarred by secrets, raised in the shadows of rebellion. Now, she enters Basgiath War College under a name no one remembers - carrying nothing but a rune, a memory, and the skills of someone who should've died years ago. Assigned to Fourth Wing, Tail Section, Second Squad, Aeliana must navigate brutal training, suspicious cadets, and the heavy eyes of dragons that seem to see more than they should. She's not here to be chosen. She's here to endure. But surviving is never that simple - not when her past walks the same halls, not when dragons are watching, and not when trust could mean everything... or cost her everything.
