Psychomachy

Psychomachy; derived from the Greek words "psyche" (soul) and "machia" (battle or conflict). Refers to the internal conflict or struggle within a person, often between opposing forces like good and evil, virtue and vice, and reason and desire.

Ember Grey has only ever lived by two rules: survive and protect your family-lessons that become vital when the world as you know it falls apart. But in a shattered society, family isn't just blood anymore; it's the people you'd risk everything for and who would do the same for you. When the line between right and wrong blurs, only one question remains: how far will you go to make it out alive?

***This is my very first story, I know it can be slow at times, and sometimes I might linger on some aspects some people deem unnecessary, but I love character building and world building. And as slow as some scenes may be, the ones with action pack a punch. Please give this story a shot, I have pretty cool plans laid out for it!***

Note: many deaths that happen in the show don't happen in this fic, therefore, the plot can be very different at times. There are heavy subjects in this story, such as domestic violence and abuse, neglect, some mentions of sexual harassment or abuse-though these scenes are not described in detail-and obviously gore and death. There is also depiction of alcohol and drug consumption. ALSO: my timeline is going to be longer than it is in the show, especially when the group gets to the prison
