After her mother untimely death and her father departure when she was really young Emilie Romano was sent to live with her only living relative. Her grandmother in the Outer Banks. She never knew her grandmother growing up so at first she was hesitant around the older woman until one day her life went from bad to worse. One wrong move one wrong word one wrong breath Emilia got backhanded by the person she thought would comfort her.
She didn't think her life would get any better considering nothing good ever happened in her life but one day she decides to visit someone who just lost her husband only to run into something she wished she could back out of until that wish wasn't what she wanted. Until she got to know those people she ran into. Until she became a pogue and her life was finally looking up.

it's a no brainer
takes place after the events of season 1 (edit: I wrote this way before season 2 or 3 came out so yuh) It's been a month since John B and Sarah have been pronounced dead. No bodies were found which gives them the smallest sliver of hope. But hope of what? That their friends somehow survived that deadly storm? That their bodies are still floating around somewhere in the Pacific? There is no hope anymore. John B, their best friend, is dead. There's nothing more to it. He's dead and so is Sarah. Coming to terms with this has been one of the hardest and single most heartbreaking thing any of the pogues have had to deal with. {Book 1/2} Growing up in the shadow of her older half brother, John B, would not have been the life Harley would have chosen. But then again, she also wouldn't have chosen to be poor, have a deadbeat Mom, an asshole of a Dad, and she definitely wouldn't have chosen to live in the outerbanks. After being dumped there at age six, Harley learnt quickly, that when you're a pogue, you don't have the best of luck. After being blackmailed by JJ, her brothers annoying best friend, Harley somehow finds herself getting in way over her head on a treasure hunt with John B and his friends, and in the chaos of it all, she finds herself starting to accept the fact that maybe pogue life isn't that bad after all, and maybe a certain blonde headed pogue in particular, wasn't as annoying as she originally thought. For the purpose of this story and the content in it, Harley is sixteen at the start of season 1 and the Pogues/ kooks are aged up by 1 year.
