Inevitable

"I'm fucking fine." He was in fact not fucking fine. There were scrapes all over his body, a horrible bruise on his ribs and supporting bandages on his ankle and shoulder.

Eijirou gently grabbed his hand to ground him. It did the exact opposite. Somehow his mind blanked out and his pain vanished.

"Dynamight! Please help!" The woman was frantic, body stuck in between fallen rubble.

Katsuki gave her the most reassuring look he could, albeit he wasn't very good, but he tried. "I've got you." Situations like this were difficult. He had to be careful or the woman might rip in half.

Before Katsuki could even react, the woman's hand slipped out from his with a blood curdling scream.

Without thinking, Katsuki yanked his hand out of Eijirou's, harsh ringing through his ears, eyes glued shut. He could only imagine the look of hurt and confusion gracing Eijirou's face.

"What's wrong?" Katsuki didn't want to open his mouth, afraid of how he would sound, but he had to. He couldn't hold off his surge of emotions about to rush through him. "Fucking-get out. I can do this myself."

"What?"

"Out."
