"What are you doing, love? Put the gun down. Just... let me talk." My voice was firm, but beneath it, there was desperation-raw, unfiltered. If she pulled that trigger, she wouldn't be the only one dying tonight. She took a step back. "No." Her voice was barely above a whisper, but the weight of it crushed me. My chest tightened as she retreated further, her grip on the gun steady despite the tremor in her hands. "I hate you," she hissed, each word laced with so much pain that it cut deeper than any bullet ever could. "No, don't say that. Please, don't." My knees hit the ground before I even realized I had fallen. I wasn't too proud to beg-not for her. But she didn't waver. Not even for a second. Her finger tightened around the trigger, her lips curling into something between a smirk and a sob. "This is what you wanted, isn't it, Rudraksh Agnihotri?" Her voice cracked, but her stance didn't falter. "Yahi toh chahta tha na tum? Main mar jaun, toh tumhara badla pura ho jayega?" (This is what you've been waiting for, right? If I die, your revenge will finally be complete, won't it?) "Stop it," I growled, pushing myself up, reaching for her-but I was too slow. Boom. The gunshot ripped through the air, through my soul, through every last thread holding my world together.
