In a world where the beliefs of all cultures shaped existence, the gods of each culture choose a human every 100 years to bestow their powers upon a human and force them to participate in a contest called the "Sacred Tournament." These chosen humans are called "Avatars," and they gain powers that represent their own gods and fight using abilities that reflect their respective areas of control. This fight will determine the balance of the world. However, none of the participants knew the true purpose of the tournament or the ultimate reward for the victor.
