A Long Walk Home

John spends election night at a friend's house, but when he can't get a ride home, he begins a long walk. Along the way, he faces a vicious dog attack and a confrontation with left-wing activists. He defends himself and continues his journey, only to be wrongly accused and beaten by a police officer. Eventually, he finds solace at his childhood home, where a friend reassures him about his beliefs and mission.
