He asked, his gaze steady, as if he already knew my answer.  

"Yeah," I sighed, the weight of the thought pressing down on me. "The saddest story in math, and in life. Two lines that get closer and closer but never actually touch." 

I didnʼt realize it then, but those words would become my reality.  

We kept drawing nearer, our lives intertwining like threads that refused to fully knot. Always so close, yet never quite crossing that final boundary. Maybe, in the end, we were meant to find our place Somewhere We Belong.
