In a luxurious New York restaurant, a man savors an exquisite slice of Big Eye Tuna, paired with fine wine. The rare, buttery flesh stirs memories of story of fisherman who vanished into the cold, unforgiving waters off Hokkaido decades ago.
The story drifts to Hisao's life-a relentless routine of battling the sea, carving perfect cuts of tuna, and chasing whispers of a mythical fish worth millions. These rare Big Eye Tuna, only 0.2% of their kind, are said to be wild and fiercely elusive, glowing faintly in the depths of the Sea of Okhotsk.
One fateful day, a storm drags Hisao far into uncharted waters. Lost and disoriented, he encounters a glowing school of tuna. Among them appears the legend itself-a massive Big Eye, its fluorescent body illuminating the pitch-black sea. Hisao, desperate and entranced, cuts off his own finger as bait.
The ensuing battle is savage. Blood and water mix as Hisao struggles to tame the beast. But the fish is no ordinary creature; it plays dead, then springs to life, clamping its monstrous jaws around Hisao's head. In a final, violent act, the tuna drags Hisao into the abyss, leaving only half his body to wash ashore days later.
In the depths of the sea, the monster waits-unseen, undefeated, and hungrier than ever.
