Birds are some of the most diverse creatures to ever live. They are very intelligent, too, some even using tools and speaking small snippets of human words. Some can see a greater range of colors than we can, and outsmart us in some facets of object-permanence. In The Aviary, though, some birds have more powers than just that. There are fire pheasants, birds with bright plumage that can shoot fire from their beaks. There are speaking grey cockatoos, able to quickly and efficiently learn languages. There are fanged vultures, people-sized creatures that can crush bones in their jaws. But most mysteriously there are the witching birds, unlike anything anyone has ever hoped to see...

𝑳𝑰𝑸𝑼𝑰𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵 Working at a large and controversial PizzaPlex associated with Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria that was torn years ago seemed like a bright idea to (Y/N), a feisty airhead who was currently collecting dust in her wallet. A lover of children, she applied for a position inside the daycare, where she heard that she would be assisting the childcare animatronic that was made to take care of children in large groups and keep them entertained with puzzles, puppet shows, glitter glue, and movies. Optimistic as ever the female did her best approach to the situation but once she met the daycare attendant, her positive attitude was demolished by the not-so-bright Sun and the counterpart she had yet to learn about. Gaining his trust would prove to be difficult, but (Y/N) couldn't give up, she needed the money after all. After eventually gaining the trust of the solar animatronic, he begins to change drastically. His stares softened and strayed from hate over the ongoing months, and his fans sped up increasingly whenever she'd come too close to him. If only she'd realized sooner that Sun's stares had become looks of longing and of lust, if only she knew what went on through their shared headspace, and if only she had been less dense, maybe she wouldn't be running for her life. You're just a human living in the 31st century. Your parents have not been around a whole lot, so drones became your primary caregivers. This has molded the way you see people and drones as a whole and has made it difficult for you to fight the feeling you're beginning to develop for one drone in particular. The perfect woman: Cyn(don't @ me). The problem is, it's culturally accepted that humans and drones intermingling is a degenerate and fround on behavior. How will this affect your feelings? THREE LAWS OF LIGHTHAVENS Law One Do not leave a Lighthaven without permission. There are dangerous plants that could kill or infect you. A Quakeroot can annihilate an entire convoy. Stormblossoms create whirlpools and catch their prey in underwater roots. Law Two Stay away from any plant that could be dangerous. Do not touch it, eat it, smell it, or go near it. Accidental ingestion can result in melting stomachs, giant boils, or weeds sprouting out of eye sockets. Also, there is the possibility of becoming a Wild: one becomes a Blood Demon by merely touching a berry. Law Three Report anyone with plants growing on their bodies. Wilds are a threat and must be eliminated immediately. Fire Grove has reported sightings of Crows, recognizable by the long Darkblades growing from their arms and back. They are liars and murderers. The worst Wild is the Green Witch. She has lime-green eyes and emerald vines instead of hair. Avoid her at all costs.

I never expected this to happen. But it did. Who knew that rescuing a broken winged canary would lead to me being able to transform? It would seem like a blessing to most, and in a way, it is. Except for the fact that I'm kinda, sorta... On the run. Sometimes, people refer to me as the girl who speaks to birds. And I guess I am. ***Highest Ranking: #95 (8-28-15)*** I wrote this when I was 11 - 12, it definitely has its flaws, I am aware of them. All the same, people enjoy this book, so I'm keeping it up.
