After the events of the Grand Magic Games, Lucy begins to reflect on her experiences and seeks to grow more powerful. Lucy speaks with Team Natsu as well as Levy and Juvia about this and all are very supportive and offer to help her. Gray and Wendy let her know of a rumor about a hidden lake of pure starlight in a cave near Purlilia, which just so happens to be the town in which Sabertooth resides. Upon hearing this, Lucy's interest is piqued and decides that she wants to take the time to train.
