About Rebecca:
Rebecca Marbles transferred to the Enterprise before the timeline of the first season of TNG, say, three years prior. She has been bullied as an Ensign in her former ship. Rebecca is a confident woman, but she has a very kind heart. She cares deeply about the ones that treat her with utmost respect and can get sassy, though within Federational guidelines if someone treats her rudely. She has a rather sultry nature. Rebecca is plus-sized and loves her body - loves how she doesn't fit in toxic societal beauty standards. Rebecca is generally an attractive woman; brown eyes with a hint of green in it, and she has dark, thick, wavy-curly hair that reach a bit under her shoulders.
Her relationship with Data:
Rebecca had always been fascinated by Soong-type androids, studying them extensively and reading all of Data's logs before meeting him. After transferring to the Enterprise, she and Data quickly became good friends, bonding over professionalism, mutual respect, and a shared curiosity about one another. Subtle hints of deeper feelings began to emerge in their friendship during the first season, even from Data's perspective. In "The Schizoid Man," Rebecca confronted her emotions for the first time when Ira Graves, inhabiting Data's body, romantically pursuing Kareen, leaving her hurt. Following these events, Data apologized to Rebecca, though he misunderstood his growing feelings for her as mere intrigue, leading to their first kiss that same night. Over the series, their relationship deepened, culminating in their marriage at the end of season five, with Data proposing to Rebecca. Data's sacrifice in Star Trek: Nemesis devastated Rebecca, leaving her hardened and unapproachable, but she reconciled with her crew during Star Trek: Picard. In the third season of Picard, Data returned, and Rebecca and Data were finally reunited, sharing 21 more years together.
