This piece of work is a poem from my senior year in high school(2024). In which my ELA teacher assigned the class a senior memoir project as our final. The poem goes through memories of my childhood and the relationships I have with the adults that are/were in my life.

What I Once Called Love: The Drafts
This is my story, or rather a compilation of stories that spans more than a decade. Each piece is written from a place of truth with the exception of the names mentioned. The book itself will broken into sections, with each representing a different moment of my life that was instrumental in helping me define what love is and what it is not. This is a handful of chapters available for preview. Keep in mind, these pieces are drafts so they are in no way perfect so please be patient with me. But Monica McCaslin didn't think she would ever be one of those people, would ever have one of those moments. A lot of the things I have written are about things that have happened in my head. Or random thoughts that have popped into my head that I was able to make more of.
