y/n's life? a certified disaster. she's got a mom who's more emotionally detached than a microwave, a brother with an ego bigger than the sky, a parade of therapists trying to piece her psyche together, and, oh yeah, a heart that decided to run on 'limited edition' mode.

at least she's got her amazing boyfriend, right? wrong. because when her heart threw its dramatic "i quit" act and she was about to bite the dust with no matching transplants, her boyfriend took one for the team- literally. 

the dude killed himself so she could have his heart.

like, wow, thanks for the solution, world. but could you not have waited? maybe two more years? let her find a life for herself first, get a little less traumatized? nope. god said, "plot twist!" and here she is, trying to figure out how to process her boyfriend's untimely suicide while realizing every heartbeat is him screaming, "you're welcome!"
