Hillary Averygard's childhood was not very happy. She grew up in a Muggle village with her uncles who repudiated any kind of magic or anything that went out of the normality of their lives. Their desire prevailed for years on end, but after a traumatic event when Hillary was 14, the girl discovers a side she had never imagined of herself: she was a witch.

Shortly thereafter, her letter from Hogwarts arrives and the young woman enters her studies at Britain's school of witchcraft and wizardry, not before an intensive two-year training with her tutor, Professor Fig. There she stands out as a school-wide prodigy, but always lagging behind Slytherin Sebastian Sallow.

The two establish a strong rivalry, but everything changes after a visit to Hogsmeade, where an unforeseen event occurs, bringing the two closer together and awakening a strange feeling of interest from Sebastian in relation to the young woman, as he tirelessly searched for a cure for the disease that his twin sister carried.

Now, together with her two friends Natsai, Ominis and her former rival Sebastian, Hillary embarks on a journey of self-knowledge, intensification of feelings and discoveries about her own past, which turns out to be darker than expected...
