Thirty-One Days of May

A story a day for the month of May.

A crazy challenge, to be sure.
To produce something new every day? Is it possible? Is it wise?
Well, regardless, here is my attempt. Perhaps it will be a few lines, perhaps a few pages.
Perhaps they'll be characters I know, perhaps they'll be completely new.
