A Woman's Sins

Her chest tightens that it felt like she can't breathe. She watch helplessly as her father change into a man. A man she's supposed to feel safe with became a man she feared the most.

Her baby brother, how can her baby brother change from that gentle and cheerful kid into a drunken deadbeat? His warm and mischievous bright eyes now often red and in daze, droopy at times. His caring smile now only appeared at the sight of alcohols.

Annora choke back a sob, her mother, oh how sweet and warm her mother used to be. Her soft voice and loving gaze now only directed towards her son. As if the presence of her first child; her eldest daughter completely forgotten.

Family. Are they even her family at this point?

Because she could have sworn this isn't the family she knew.

And it's slowly shaping her into an empty shell of herself.
