At St. Lucius Academy, the volleyball teams are as competitive as they come. Leon Carter, captain of the Thunder Spikes, has always been the top setter, focused and determined to lead his team to victory. But when a scheduling error forces his team to train alongside their rivals, the Ocean Waves, he's paired up with the most insufferable player of them all-Kai Tanaka, the cocky, carefree spiker who's always looking for a chance to stir up trouble. What starts as a heated rivalry quickly turns into something neither of them expected as they're forced to work together. Between intense drills, snarky comments, and way too much chemistry, Leon and Kai will have to decide if they can put aside their differences-or if their rivalry will turn into something much more complicated.
