Keepers are the ones entrusted with ensuring that the peace that was worked so hard to achieve is kept. Despite the Hellions, people intent on using their abilites for the wrong reasons. 
Marie was a girl with a fire gift, and despite the geering comments of her being gifted by Ohmera, she is determined to do well in this life. 

Marie followes her journy through her path to becoming a keeper and the problems and road bumps she comes across the way, learning control and important skills to aid her in her journeys.
