Leo Valdez has always been the seventh wheel, a reliable friend who would even risk his own life to protect others. As Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano once said, "...he can be a doofus, but he has a heart of Imperial Gold".

Even so, burdens of the past and the unsolved problems he has with aunt Rosa and his bully of a cousin Raphael linger on his shoulders like a heavy boulder. Grief, frustration and repulsiveness gather altogether, shaking Leo's funny and easygoing exterior. His kind, blazing heart is overflowing with a tidal wave of hatred, which is so not like him.

One day, he finds his chance at revenge through an unexpected demigod, who is claimed by her godly parent right at her first campfire...

(This story takes place in a separate timeline that doesn't collide with the canon events from the series. Lots of drama, mixed with romance and comedic relief!)
