Mikaela is Jeb's little sister and wasn't too big into chasing tornadoes especially when one killed their father when she was young. Jeb, on the other hand wanted to study tornadoes to prevent others from losing their lives like them. When he met Kate in college, everything was going right. They both were studying tornadoes and soon made friends with Praveen, Addy and Javi. Mikaela often hung out with them, eventually accepted the idea of chasing tornadoes and soon got close to Javi. Then the day that wrecked her entire world came, leaving just Kate, Javi and Mikaela alive. Mikaela hated Kate for dragging Jeb into the tornado and soon she cut off everyone except Javi but that connection soon dwindled.
Five Years Later...
Mikaela had graduated from college, studying weather patterns and tornadoes in honour of her brother. She dedicated her life to stopping them since it took away her only family left. Mikaela also fell in with the Tornado Wranglers, helping them with her vast knowledge of tornadoes. Soon she led them alongside Tyler Owens, her closest friend. Then one day, she met two people that she never thought she'd see again after that horrible day.

After a negative encounter with a EF5, Kate leaves the state and Javi takes Gears with him to Florida where they both join the military. Gears excels at bomb deactivation and detonation while Javi joins the more intellectual side of things. After both get honorably discharged Gears is more than happy to join Javi in his career endeavors when he promises her all access to anything technological. Now it's tornado season and they are in for a whirlwind of excitement as they start their journey. Javi quickly realizes he'll need to get Kate on board to come back as they struggle to surround a tornado. And in all of it Gears can't help herself but to look at the cameraman of the Tornado Wranglers and he himself can't help but to be fascinated by her.

lily had known on that god foresaken day that the tornado was no joke. she knew that if something were to go wrong, it would happen to her of all people so it was no suprise that what they thought would be the coolest experience of their lives would soon turn into the worst. after all the lost lives of not only her friends, but of the close towns to the tragedy, she left oklahoma with a heavy heart and no hopes of returning. she moved to l.a. and pursued a career in singing, completely throwing her dreams of getting to the top of the publishing industry into the trash. that was what she wanted when she had so much love and support. when she had a tight knit group of friends but with only two of them left, she couldn't bear to have any reminder of her old life. she even almost cut off her brother, javier, completely. he was a harsh reminder of everything she had lost and it broke her heart to not be with him together in a town they both had loved. but her love had soon diminished the second her best friends died. she's now just a shell of who she used to be, but she was happy in her own fucked up way. so what happens when she feels the pull of oklahoma beckoning her home? her brother needs her and she could never deny him. if you had told her she'd succeed in stopping a tornado from killing anyone else she loved she would have said "screw you" and walked away in a cloud of self fury. if you had also told her she'd fall in love with a cowboy she would've wanted every detail you could give her.Complete

In the process of rewriting!! "I spent years running from storms, Tyler. Somehow, you became the one thing I couldn't run from." In the process of rewriting! "You were supposed to be the woman I couldn't stand. Somewhere along the way, you became the woman I can't imagine losing." Annabelle Carter swore she'd never chase another storm. Years after walking away from the life that nearly broke her, Annabelle is dragged back into the world of storm chasing when Javi comes begging for her help. Her sister needs her, and Annabelle can't turn her back on family. But returning means facing everything she left behind- and Tyler Owens. Reckless, arrogant, and infuriating, Tyler is everything Annabelle can't stand. Their rivalry is instant, their arguments relentless, and neither is willing to back down. But storm after storm, danger after danger, something begins to change. Because when you're chasing something as unpredictable as a tornado, sometimes the most dangerous thing isn't the storm. It's falling for the person standing beside you. 🥈in storms (10/03/25) 🥇in tornado wrangler (16/03/25) 🥇in kate carter (13/09/25) 🥈in Glen Powell (25/05/25) 🥇tornado (30/05/25) 🥉in daisyedgarjones (11/08/25) 🥇in Boone (1/9/2026)
