Near the end of the 21st century, a devastating event propelled humanity to the stars, leading to the rise of the Protectorate. In less than 6000 years, the fast-growing empire engulfed one third of the galaxy.
But the Protectorate hides many secrets. Rumors of strange occurrences make their way to its long-standing adversary, the Holy Alliance of Tysca. Eager to end the cold conflict once and for all, members of the Alliance are willing to exploit the newfound vulnerabilities, and in doing so, to endanger the frail galactic peace.
Caught up in the chaos, a young archivist searches for his place in the galaxy.
