When Arden Brooks takes a leap of faith to transfer to NYU with her best friend, Ava, their housing tuition falls through. The financial aid department was supposed to take care of it before the semester began, but they didn't, and now, they have nowhere to go.

Arden's family is all the way back home in Michigan, and she's currently in New York City with Ava being the only person she knows. Fortunately, her best friend's dad, Hugh Jackman, offers them a place to stay with him until their housing situation gets sorted out.

The thing is Arden has never met Hugh before, and now she has to share an apartment with him. She thinks it'll be fine. It'll be like living with her own parents, except it's not like that at all.

Because Hugh is a very single, very attractive older man. He has only improved with age. Like a vintage that gets better with time. It doesn't help that he's tall and goofy - exactly Arden's type.

But, Hugh is strictly off limits. He is her best friend's dad. He's also a whole 20 years older than her. The thing is Arden can only deny her attraction to him for so long, because the longer she lives with him, the harder it is to stay away, especially when those feelings are mutual.

Dear Olive, I hate you. I hate that you were born and that your human and have a face. I hate that you live next door to me and I hate that I can't sleep at night because the thought of you has forever left a vivid image creased in the back of my mind. And most of all, I hate that you hate me. Hate, Everest Since the first grade when Olivia Kingston and her family moved in right across the street from Kyle Everest, he had believed to have instantly hated her. (At least thats how he tells the story) And maybe it was just because of the mere fact of her existence, or maybe it was that time she ate the last fruit snack at lunch, or let's not forget, in fifth grade she stole his partner in crime, being his twin sister Madeline. Now being 17 years old Kyle Everest still holds this unknown resentment against his next door neighbor Olivia Kingston, and torches her in any possible way he can, but what would happen when Olivia finally gets sick of letting Kyle torcher her unexplainably? Everything would change in the matter of one day when Olivia accidentally gets them both locked in the principals office in search of the same thing: The truth. But while staying together in a cramped room with no phones and surviving off nothing but the secret stash of their principal, while the entire schools is off on spring break, secrets will be told and feeling will unravel. And let's not forget, hate letters will be sent. This book may seem light and fun but it has some mature scenes and dark thoughts that I'd suggest for viewers 16+

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I would have gotten off of him but I realize that he wasn't moving to get away from me. No, He was moving his lips against mine." °°°°° Aiden Moore isn't extraordinary. He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! The best part about this book is that it has some funny bits and introduces you to characters I use for a while. (Complete) Technology is foolproof. It's the user that always makes the mistakes, and Erin Thatcher just made a huge one. ... Becoming an author has gotten quite a bit easier. You can do it all on your own with the help of third-party publishing platforms, like Zonie. At least, that's the plan for Erin. A perfectionist at heart, she wants to make sure that her novel is nothing short of that. To do that, she has to share her writing with others, which is no simple feat. Hiring a beta-reader is way out of her comfort zone, but she's willing to overcome her anxieties of worst case scenarios. She's already begun volunteering at U of T and met an amazing group of people who have the same passions she does. They give her the inspiration she needs to hire Avi Sutherland. Everything is going perfectly when they meet up at Noir Cafe to discuss what the next draft should be like and electronically sends Avi a copy of her work. That is until two days later when Avi tells her that she never received it. Erin accidentally SkyDropped her book to the wrong person. Now some stranger has her work, and there's no getting it back. If you told her that person was Hugh Jackman? Well, she'd call you a genius in the most sarcastic way ever.
