Elias Duvall is a 17-year-old vigilante, a master of shadow manipulation, and a force to be reckoned with in the underworld of New York City. With a painful past shaped by betrayal and loss, Elias's abilities allow him to control darkness itself-turning it into a weapon that can take down even the most dangerous enemies. His personal war against the criminal syndicate known as the Circle isn't just about justice-it's a quest for vengeance after they betrayed him, crossing a line that no one else dared to.

But when the world faces a much greater threat, Elias is drawn into a conflict far beyond his own personal crusade. Natasha Romanoff, a key agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., seeks his help in tracking down Loki, the god of mischief, who has stolen the Tesseract and is preparing to unleash a deadly alien invasion on Earth. Reluctantly, Elias agrees to join forces, thrusting him into a mission that will test his limits and challenge his view of morality. As the battle for New York unfolds and heroes from all corners of the globe come together to stop Loki's forces, Elias is forced to confront his place in a world of shining ideals and darker realities.

While Elias's uneasy alliance with S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers may begin in the shadow of the Tesseract's theft, his story is far from over. As the MCU's timeline shifts and new threats emerge-like Ultron's rise, Thanos's looming arrival, and the global chaos brought on by Hydra's infiltration-Elias's journey will continue to unfold. Will he remain a wildcard, a figure lurking in the shadows, or will he evolve into something greater? As the stakes of his own battle against corruption and betrayal intertwine with Earth's larger conflicts, Elias Duvall will need to decide where his loyalties lie-and whether he can ever escape the darkness that has defined him.

In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge. Steve (Captain America) has hope that even the most hardened of evil doers can be changed for the better. No one quite knows what Natasha (Black Widow) is thinking. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.

Having been taken into the Avengers only a year ago and surviving her kidnapped by HYDRA, Emily had finally felt like she had a place to belong and she is slowly feeling accepted. But the constant fear of HYDRA taking her back and controlling her life again, as well as hurting those she loves, is taking a toll on Emily as she battles with her inner demons. -.-.-.- "Things won't ever be normal for us Em." Tony smiled, clearly struggling to keep his voice steady as he hopped off his chair to kneel in front of me, taking my scarred hands in his rough ones. "Having you in our lives makes it more of an adventure. We wouldn't ever want you to leave, you are one of us okay? You're like a daughter to me, to all of us - hey, why are you crying?" "I'm sorry." I sniffled, roughly wiping the tears off my cheeks before I let him wrap me up in a hug. "I just never felt like belonged anywhere before and to hear you say that... it just means a lot to me." "Well, it's true Emily." Bruce smiled back as he put his hand on my shoulder as I kept my head buried into Tony's chest, saturating his shirt with my tears. "So don't ever think otherwise, okay?" -.-.-.- I do not own any of the Marvel characters in this book except for Emily. All ideas are purely my own. -.-.-.- WARNINGS: This books contains violence, severe mental health issues (including suicide) and coarse language that a certain Steve Rogers wouldn't approve of. -.-.-.- HIGHEST RANKINGS: #2 hydraexperiment - 23.01.24 #4 adoptedbyavengers - 23.01.23

But Nathan isn't alone. Rose Stark, a young woman with her own deep connection to the past, stands beside him-her future already written, yet not yet fully realized. The pair must navigate their uneasy partnership and uncover the secrets buried deep within the timelines. As they fight for their lives and the fate of the world, they will face the truth of their origins, the cost of their legacies, and the unshakable question: What happens when the past catches up to you?
