Seventeen-year-old Noelle's world is quiet, and she intends to keep it that way.

After moving to a new town for her father's demanding job, Noelle retreats into herself. Battling anxiety and unpredictable fainting spells, she rarely speaks to anyone outside of her Dad-her rock- and Ace, her fiercely loyal husky and service dog. Together, they navigate a life where every step feels uncertain.

When her father secures her a place at Oakfields College, Noelle's carefully constructed world begins to crack. Thrown into the chaos of campus life, she plans to keep her head down. But everything changes when her path crosses with Nathan Ashton.

Nathan is popular, loud, and smug. The guy who seems to have every girl wrapped around his finger. Everything about him should send Noelle running. Instead, she finds herself drawn into his orbit despite her better judgment.

As Nathan pushes his way past her defences, Noelle must confront not only him but also the fears and scars she's been trying so hard to hide. Her quiet world is shifting, but is it for better or worse?
