Her horns started at the front of her skull. they had started growing when she was 6 years old, at the time they had been nothing but bumps in the thin layer of skin against her fore head.

When she was 8 they started growing, her mother Janis, had tried every medicine and Treatment money could buy, even resorting to sand paper when none of those doctor medications had worked.

Janis's daughter was a monster.
Or so she looked like one

Elizabeth fisher's skin was fare. she was tall unlike her mother who was short and plump. Elizabeth's eyes reflected the colour of lily pad green, her natural back waist length hair clashed with her pale, almost sickly looking skin.

But it wasn't any of these traits that made doctors frown and Priest shake in their socks.

It was the horns.
Or for better terms, antlers.

"You have a have a heart" the doctors had said
"But your a monster" said society

This story begins in the country of Britannia. A country where several certain races live with one another. And at the center of these races stood a girl. A beautiful girl with wild molten hair and eyes that reflected the universe. She was the creation of love and the child of wilderness. She was someone full of wisdom, wisdom she had gathered from centuries of experience. Many don't know how she was born, some saying that she was the daughter of the blazing sun while others say that she was born from ashes during an alluring eclipse. The name they called her? Malaika Kya. Angel from the diamond sky. For eons she wandered, visiting many kingdoms and gaining many friends. She battled battles that many would have died from, protecting those she holds dear. Slowly, her family began to grow. Person by person, home by home, kingdom by kingdom. Her heart spreading the biggest of wings. But then it happened. The one she loved most was attacked, almost dying because of someone's idiocy. And so she fought. She fought for her dying family, soon gaining the powers of the internal flame buried deep inside her. Screeching her painful cry, she fought in her new form with all her might. But it wasn't enough as it's hand sprouted from her body. Tears fell from the eyes of her lover, his eyes wide as he watched her body wither in pain. Hey dark eye were gentle a she watched his physical pain disappear, his wounds sealed shut as he snatched her closer one more time. Softly she apologized, saying words she wanted so badly to say before sealing their goodbye with a kiss. After one last smile, she disappeared into the fire below, her body dissipating into the molten flames as her words echoed into the soundless wind. "Mind telling me about that promise again?"

I imagine him as he is now, a cold echo of himself-a captive god, shackled to the ground he once knew well. For him, and for me, time crawls in the same sluggish circle. I picture the smallness of the space we put him in, and wonder if he remembers like I do. She was always drawn to storms, much like how lightning is drawn to the sky. Even at a young age, little Azura would stand beneath the thunderclouds that often visited the Sky'Lands during their journey across the Crystallin Sea, singing in a dead tongue. The chaotic beauty of the storms gave her solace, a stark contrast to the suffocating control of her makeshift family. Despite what had been promised, Azura couldn't help but feel a certain coldness each time a storm moved on without her. A coldness that only grew stronger and more present with each passing season, leaving her torn between the safety of familiarity and a longing for what lay beyond the open sea. Change had always taken something from her, bringing fear and loss of what had once been familiar. Facing change alone was terrifying, especially from the perspective of a gifted girl who had been isolated all her life. From the moment he was born, Damien's life had never been his own. Orphaned amidst the lower class and considered property of the Crown, it seemed his future had been set in stone, predetermined by those born with silver blood. To work arduously with his head held low and his mouth sealed shut until death would come for him. A death that seemed mockingly out of reach. Scars covered his body, some inflicted by the hands of the upper class, while others he had done to himself, as there was no such thing as a free slave in the Kingdom of Dunstan as long as the Royals lived. --------------------------------------------------- As of 2024, this will be the official place for my story.
