A Place Where I Belong

Isla Hermione has always felt like an outsider-sa bahay at kahit sa sarili niyang mundo. Growing up as the daughter of a man her mother refuses to forgive, araw-araw siyang pinapasan ng galit na hindi naman dapat kanya. The cold treatment from her stepfather only makes things worse. Sa murang edad, natutunan niyang dumiskarte at umintindi kahit walang nagbibigay ng kahit anong konsiderasyon sa kanya.

Now in Grade 10, Isla juggles schoolwork, the pressure to excel, and her silent battles of survival. Baon niya araw-araw ang notebook kung saan niya sinusulat lahat ng hindi niya kayang sabihin. For her, silence is safer than words, and daydreaming about the future keeps her afloat.

But life has a way of surprising even those who expect nothing. As she faces the realities of growing up-along with the challenges of family, friendship, and finding herself-Isla starts to wonder: can she create a life where she truly belongs, kahit pa lahat ng tao sa paligid niya ay pilit siyang tinutulak palayo?
