This book is a series of unfortunate events that follow the Espinosa children on their adventure to find their parents and the truth about why they were taken. The two Espinosa children's lives had stopped way before the apocalypse. 9 years before the dead started walking the siblings had been abducted and taken to a lab. This lab responsible for all the torture and trauma the kids suffered. One day training had gone to far and his baby sister was left permanently deaf from her left ear. Only half of her other ear actually worked. She stopped talking that day too it's like she just didn't know how to any more. That day her brother silently vowed to always protect his sister first and that he would get her out of this place no matter what it costed him.
