This story is HEAVILY based on the book/movie "All The Bright Places", it is one of my favorite books / movies of all time and i just thought "why not make them into my favorite couple?" so i did.. sorry to the payjay lovers who have seen the movie/read the book.
The Story: The first-person narration of Oj and Paper weaves together a story of their unlikely friendship and love, of saving and being saved in the face of devastating loss.

CURRENTLY TRYING TO 'REWRITE IT' meaning some chapters are well written, some are not (I am trying hard I swear 😭) English is not my first language, so please don't sue me!!!! II High School (Inanimate Insanity AU)
This story is supposed to be a reimagining from the original II history, but the characters are humanized and they attend to an elite school called International Inquiry High School (which is basically just an excuse for me to make some of the characters from other nationalities). Ships included, but I'll try to not make them affect the plot too much, since I don't want to ruin the experience to my non-shipping fellas. Slow updates, bruh. OJ finds out about all the things Paper has hid for around 5 years. Paper, believing he'll be fine, refuses to get help. OJ loves him, and Paper loves OJ, but neither ever spoke of how they felt. But OJ can't hide his feelings anymore, he knows if he doesn't confess to Paper soon...He might not be alive.. Lightbulb wakes up in Hotel OJ to find everything... perfect. Too perfect. Everyone's acting like the best possible versions of themselves - Knife is gentle and soft-spoken, Taco and Pickle are happily together with no tension, and Balloon has completely dropped his desperate people-pleasing act. Even MePhone seems more stable and kind. At first, Lightbulb thinks this is amazing! All the conflict and drama that used to stress her out are gone. But something feels fundamentally wrong. The conversations are too polite, the smiles too consistent, and everyone keeps insisting they've "always been this way." When Lightbulb tries to bring up past arguments or drama, everyone looks at her with genuine confusion. "Lightbulb, why would you think Knife ever threatened anyone?" "Taco would never manipulate people, that's such a mean thing to suggest!" They seem genuinely hurt that she'd imply they were ever anything but perfect. She has to choose: pretend to be the "normal" version of herself that they want, or risk everything to restore her friends' true selves. But the more she fights against the artificial normalcy, the more she questions if maybe being "fixed" wouldn't be so bad after all... Payjanuary! (A month of Payjay fluff)
I love payjay, a lot! Especially fluffy payjay! So, I decided I'd start writing a short Payjay drabble every day for a month and chuck it at the world, because why not?
